Know the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. (Geneses 3:1) Satan choice the serpent because of his ability to sneak in and out. He could come in and out without notice and at the time even seeing the snake was not a concern. It was when the Devil started using him the trouble started.
Things sneak into our lives, a lot of times without much notice. It’s just a move or it’s art. What’s the matter, we’re not aloud to have a little diversity and culture in our lives. It’s just a song. I don’t really listen to all the words but it got a good beat.
Think about this. In the Bible it doesn’t really say how many times the snake spoke to Eve or how long it took. All we know is that he was able to get into her head. He was subtle about it. You want surely die. That’s not what God meant. Trust me one little bit is not going to hurt anything. It’s just bad language and a little flash of flesh. It helps the plot of the movie. That song is just the freedom of the artist to express himself. No big deal. It’s not like these things are going to effect your walk with Christ.
BUT Is it ok? It’s just one little bit, it’s good. What we let into our heads, surprisingly, gets into our heads. What gets into our heads finds it’s way into our hearts. Next thing you know, It’s what is coming out of our mouths. We have been duped, hoodwinked, bamboozled, fooled and made a fool of. Now instead of proclaiming Christ, we sound more like the world. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. The Word says, it is the small foxes that spoils the vine. Be careful what is sneaking into your garden and into your mind. Just because the snake speaks to you don’t mean you have sinned, but if you keep the conversation with him going, you probably will. Instead of listening to that sneaky snake, take up the sword of truth (The Bible) and cut his head off.
Jesus Loves You! and I’m working on it.
