Many years ago there appeared a sign to signify the coming of a King. This sign was, of course the Star of Bethlehem or the Christmas star. The fact is that it was the sign of the KING coming into this world.

Where it confused so many, is that they were looking for a warrior to come take over, set up Israel as The world power and put everyone to submishine under their rule. But this sign was MUCH bigger than that. This star signified a King for everyone, for all times. The Star lead the wise men to where the small child was. When they arrived they found a much brighter star. The true Light.

This light has always shined and will forever shine. He was a small child that came into this world so meek and mild. No place to lay his head. Yet this light is brighter than the sun, he is the Son of God. Because he loved us he came into the world to let His light shine that we could come into the light and not stay lost in darkness. Without him there is NO Light.

See there are a couple of scientific facts. In total darkness there is no light. But the light drives away the dark. See the darkness cannot stay where the light is. I’m just following the science. John 8:12 Then Spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Everlasting life is only in Jesus and he gives us the choose to come to the light and be with him forever. We Never have to be in the dark any more. The darkness of sin has a strong grip on the people of this world. Do you wonder why the world does the things that are so horrible, such as killing babies, rioting and looting, always wanting what doesn’t belong to them including each others wives or husbands. Have you noticed these things are done at night, in the Dark. You know when Jesus was born king Herod also tried to have him killed. 2,000 or so years later, and Satan is still trying to kill the image of God that is in all of us.

But he cannot put out this Light. He may deceive most of the world that are living in the darkness. But The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be Afraid? Psalm 27:1

We have nothing to fear in the light we can see it coming, we see the future. We know the end of the age and we know who wins. God called us out of the darkness by his own Son (The Light) and through him we have his light in us. Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick: and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and Glorify your Father which is in Heaven.

We are not called to hide the Light. It is are job to let His Light shine. Christ said the harvest is ripe where are the labors? The Greatest part of our job is, it’s a family business. We are adopted into the family. Sons and Daughters of God. Where we can call God, MY Father. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, That you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

It is the Family of the Light. But he is always looking to add to the family. This time of year a lot of people get down a bit and depressed, they feel that they have No Family. You have a family. Either you are already in the family of God with me and my big Brother Jesus. OR he wants you to be. You have a family if you choose. I don’t care where you are from or what your color is or how you talk. I don’t care if you are very rich or very poor. Jesus said I came and died for you so you can be in my family. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
