There was a man. This man was very good at what he did. His job was to do all he could to destroy people he disagreed with. He would hunt them down like dogs. He would put them into internments camps. He found great pleasure in his attempt to completely eradicate these people from off the earth. He considered them to be a great threat to his way of life.

When he was a child he went to the best of schools. He was taught at the feet of men that others considered genus. There is no way you could say he was dump or ignorant. He grew up very proud of his heritage and fully intended to keep it pure.

As a young man he was part of a riot that killed a innocent man. This just seem to charge him up. From then forward he was on a mission. He would not rest till there was not one left. After doing all he could in his city, he branched out to the countryside. Bringing terroir to everyone in his path.

The time came when he was looking to go into the world and drag them back to torcher and kill. He went to his superiors to get permission and the writ of authority to go into the other countries. I guess you could say he was an ambassador of bad will. They granted him the authority and sent him to GO Get Them.

Now I’m sure this story sound familiar. Might even say it sounds a lot like a little man from Germany. After all, he certainly tried to go into the world and exterminate a group of people, with hate running rampid in his heart, but he thought he was in the Right. He was trying to maintain purity in his race. Most of the world defiantly things Hitler was wrong for his atrocities and of course, so do I. He has been used in many sermons of someone that busted hell wide open. He is someone that deserved Death, a horrible death.

But this story is about Love, Mercy and Grace. See this man was just as wrong as Hitler. He to was bound and determined to wipe out the existence of this new radical group that was sweeping through the world. This group clamed they had the way to eternal life. They was following a man that had been killed for what he taught. They clamed that this man was indeed the God that this man also believed in. They said that he did die. But three days later he arose from the dead and they saw him and touched him and even shared meals with him. What a crazy bunch of nuts I’m sure this man, Saul must have thought they where. They had to be stopped.

Then the craziest thing happened. Saul was on his way to another place called Damascus. On the mission to kill and destroy these crazy Christians that claimed that Jesus Christ, a man that was hung on a cross years earlier, is the Son of God. He had his entourage with him and they was heading down the road to Damascus. All of a sudden an extremely bright light shined down on him from the heavens. It was brighter than the sun. The other men stood outside the light, no doubt shaking in their boots. But Saul, he was right in the middle of the Light. Then the most merciful thing happened to him. Grace came down in a voice from heaven. Saul Saul why do you persecute me? Saul answers,” who are you Lord”? The voice speaks “I am Jesus whom you persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads’.

He had a very personal encounter that changed his life. This man’s name was changed to Paul. The man, Saul died so to speak on that road. This man asked God to forgive him of all the things he had done. AND HE DID! What a God I serve that just because we humble our hearts and ask him to forgive us and believe in him, This same Jesus that Changed the man Saul, that deserved Death, to Paul the apostle to the world. Will do the same for us. See I was a sinner as well, I deserved death but Jesus loves me. Now I have life eternal in Glory with this same Jesus that shows mercy and grace to us all if we will ask. It really is that easy Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and ask his forgiveness. Know that he died for us. On the 3rd. day he arose from the dead and is now with the Father to plead for us. WOW THAT IS LOVE!
